How do I activate a new O2 Discover® Debit Card? –– You can activate a new card by calling the toll free activation number on the card sticker by phone on file with Old Second Bank.
What benefits does an O2 Discover Debit Card have?
Is Discover accepted at a significant number of merchants? –– Discover is accepted at over 8.5 million locations and has achieved leading growth in merchant acceptance in each of the past 3 years. Discover is also accepted wherever the Pulse® and Diner Club® acceptance logos are posted. If the Discover Card is not accepted, or you have to complete a PIN transaction, please contact Old Second with the merchant’s information. What if I try to make a purchase at a business that does not accept Discover? –– Often times the easiest way to complete the transaction is to run it as PIN transaction. To complete your purchase, simply ask the merchant to run the transaction as a “debit” and you will be asked to enter your 4 digit PIN. If the Discover Card is not accepted, or you have to complete a PIN transaction, please contact Old Second with the merchant’s information. What debit security measures are provided by the Discover network and Old Second? –– Discover Network employs stringent requirements, including 100% authorization on all transactions (no “floor limits”). Old Second also employs fraud-prevention, detection and transaction monitoring tools to identify transaction fraud and alert us to unusual customer account activity.
